Students in the Big room have been learning about the Gold Rush and life on the goldfields this term. On Thursday we stuck it lucky when gold was discovered in our own sandpit!! Students needed a gold licence, were assigned a plot and began digging. Eureka!
This term we have been learning soccer skills, drills and rules during PE and sport. This has become a favourite recess and lunch time activity of late and it's been wonderful seeing all students playing together cooperatively.
Students enjoy developing their drawing skills during Art lessons.
On Wednesday 15th March, Peter Brear from Cricket Victoria visited Undera PS and ran a clinic for our students. We all had a great time.
Earlier this year we received a $30,000 grant from Active Schools.
How good was Interschool Athletics Day?!! Our kids represented Undera Primary School with pride, confidence, determination and impeccable behavior! Well done to all the students for giving the day your all and having fun at the same time!!
14th September is World Atopic Eczema Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of eczema and the impact it has on the daily lives of those who suffer from eczema and their families.
Easter Bunny made a visit to Undera PS this afternoon and students had a ball participating in our Easter egg hunt. It was beautiful to see the way they shared out eggs and made sure no one missed out.
On Friday 18th November Cody from the Bendigo Discovery Centre visited our school and do a coding session with the Year 3-6 students. They learnt how to program 'sphero' to spin, turn and follow various instructions. The students really enjoyed the session and learnt so much about coding.
Undera Primary School provides an aesthetically attractive setting for students to learn and play. We have an amazing new playground and expansive areas for students to be active learners.
